In Senior Infants, we celebrated Saint Brigid's Day on the 1st of February. Ms. Elliott showed us how to make St. Brigid's crosses with rushes from her parents' farm in County Monaghan. We listened to the story of St. Brigid's cloak and stories about St. Brigid praying to God to heal the sick.
We learned that St. Brigid's Day marks the beginning of season of spring in Ireland.
