Art Week 2 with Ms. Fitzgibbon
Hi everyone,
I was amazed by the pictures that you sent in of your crests. We have some very talented artists in Corduff!
As Valentine's Day is this Sunday February 14th, I thought it would be nice for us to make a virtual hug card for a special person/special people in our lives like Adam on the Late Late Toy Show!
For this week's challenge we are doing paper collage where we use little pieces of paper and stick them onto our card. Adults can get involved too and help out the younger boys and girls! As we are a Green School with 5 green flags, it is also a chance to do some recycling and use bits of paper or card that you have at home!
You will need:
- Paper
- Something to draw with - marker, pencil, pen, crayon.
- Pieces for your collage (I used pieces of cereal boxes and other things from my recycling bin, you could also use colour paper if you have it or just colour in white paper and tear it up!)
- Scissors (if you don't have scissors you can tear the paper into pieces with your hands!)
- Glue (also optional - if you don't have glue you can still put the pieces on and take a picture of the collage when it is flat on the table!)
- Colours - crayons, pencils etc.
If you give it a go, please send a picture to your teacher when sending in your work or you can email your picture to me at lfitzgibbon@stpatricksjns.ie by Thursday 11th February and I will display them here on the website! It would also be lovely to send a picture of your card to your loved ones to remind them how much you love them! I sent mine to my granny.
I can't wait to see your A Hug for You cards!
Ms. Fitzgibbon :)
