We'd love to have as many parent volunteers as possible to read big books to small groups if your child is currently in Junior Infants. Your child may have already mentioned the idea of getting involved to you. It could be such a positive experience for you, your child, the class teacher, and their class! We'd like parent volunteers to visit their child's Junior Infant Class for 4 x Tuesdays for 30-minute sessions, from the 13th of Feb. to the 5th of March. As part of school protocol, we would require parents to apply for Garda vetting beforehand. Claire, our HSCL Coordinator can help you with this application. Parent volunteers will also meet together as a group in the Parents' Room to familiarise ourselves with some of the books and games that go with them before we read to groups in your child's class.
