Neurodiversity Week Assembly
25th Apr 2024
We held an assembly this week to celebrate neurodiversity. We learnt that that we are all different and special. Some of us have neurotypical brain and others have neurodiverse brains.
We talked about the story of Norman who was sad because he was different and felt he had to hide it but he was happier when he showed his wings and got to be himself. We should never feel like we're not normal because there is no such thing as normal.
Mrs Kane spoke about autism, how austistic people see the world in one way and neurotypical people see the world in a different way, they are both right.
We finished our assembly with a song about how our brains work differently.
