The second phase of the building programme has commenced with the demolition of the old Junior school. This means that there will be different arrangements required in relation to dropping off and collecting children from school.
As the construction traffic will be entering the site from Blackcourt Road, the Health and Safety Officers on the site have said that there should be no excess traffic coming through that entrance.
Therefore, from Monday 17th April (the day after the Easter holidays) :
- No traffic other than construction traffic and school staff will be permitted through the Blackcourt Road entrance.
- There will be no drop-off or parking at the Blackcourt road gate.
- All cars will have to park in the carpark at the shops. The new entrance to the school is marked along Corduff Lane.
- There will be a pedestrian route that children can use to safely walk in at the Blackcourt road entrance.
The Boards of Management apologize for any inconvenience caused however the boards are directed by the Health and Safety requirements and the safety of our children is the most important consideration for us all.
