In the build up to Literacy Week, this morning was a wonderful sight to behold in Junior Infants. We were very lucky to have some our parents read stories to the children in small groups using Story Sacks, organised by Ms. Breen. The children in Ms. Dixon’s Class and Ms. Kane/Ms. Gallagher’s Class thoroughly enjoyed their shared reading activities with parents which included great stories such as Messy Martin and Fatou Fetch the Water along with fun games and activities to follow on from the book.
Well done to Sameira, Dean, Rachel & Caroline who visited Ms. Dixon’s Class and to Sarah & Kelsey who visited Ms. Kane/Ms. Gallagher’s Class this morning. They were all a pleasure to have in the class and we were so grateful for how they kindly gave their time to our school.
