We have a great relationship with Fingal Sports partnership. We have completed a Sports conditioning programme on two occasions with our first classes over the years. Our last was in 2019.
Pre SportsCon
Having completed Pre SportsCon Assessments we found that on a whole the First Class Students were generally close to the average for their age group within Fingal when it came to Balance, Catching and Kicking.
We also found a trend of being below average in Striking and Skipping.
Post SportsCon
On completion of the 8 week SportsCon Programme the majority of skills had reached or surpassed the Fingal Average and nearly all skills surpassed the pre SportsCon Assessment.
Recommendations
Over the 8 weeks there were significant improvements in terms of Physical Literacy in First Class, especially in Striking and Skipping.
