We celebrate reading and books. In this school we love books and read as much as we can. So many children and teachers dressed up today as different characters. Can you guess who everyone is?
We held a very exciting assembly. Nathan welcomed us all. Early start then Junior Infants performed poems and nursery rhymes. 1st class entertained us with a Reader's Theatre of 'The Gingerbread Man'. 1st class also performed a rap. 2nd Class spoke about the visit from an Illustrater and how they have made sketch books. They also read a poem.
Our Budding Authors read us stories, sitting in the Authors' Chair. Finally we guessed a few of the many characters in the hall. We then sang the world book day song.
